A small business-card site with three real case studies, a pragmatic services list, and a mailto. Built from empty folder to live domain in two focused days.
portfolio.jimmyf.link is my official business-card site — somewhere an interested recruiter or potential client can land, read three case studies at length, and reach me without going through a contact form. The site is deliberately small in scope and large in typographic gesture: a huge tomato-red Jimmy Flink headline on cream paper, a mouse-reactive canvas backdrop in the hero that glints when you move the pointer, and three rounded case tiles with real screenshots from the work.
Four sections — hero, cases, quotes, contact — guide the visitor through a quiet narrative: who I am, what I've done, what others say about it, and where to find me. The hot-pink contact section at the bottom is a deliberate break from the warm cream field above: by the time you arrive there, you've made up your mind.
Technically it's Astro 6 with Tailwind v4 and Cloudflare Workers Static Assets. Cases, quotes and services live as Markdown in content collections with a Zod schema, so adding a new case is dropping in a .md file. The OG image is rendered by a small Node script that draws 1200×630 with the same typography as the site — it's committed so Cloudflare doesn't run the generator on every build.
It was built across two full days — day one on structure, hero canvas and case flow, day two on polish, OG image, robots.txt with an AI-bot allow-list, JSON-LD Person schema and deploy. That it suffices as an official site at that pace is partly the AI leverage, partly deliberate scope discipline.
